“As Peter talked
He went into the house.
That many people
Had assembled there.”
καὶ συνομιλῶν αὐτῷ εἰσῆλθεν, καὶ εὑρίσκει συνεληλυθότας πολλούς,
The author of Acts indicated that as Peter talked with Cornelius (καὶ συνομιλῶν αὐτῷ), he went into (εἰσῆλθεν) his house. He found (καὶ εὑρίσκει) that many people (πολλούς) had assembled there together (συνεληλυθότας). Acts was the only Greek biblical writing that used this word συνομιλῶν, that means to converse with, talk with, or live with. Peter and Cornelius were having a conversation as they entered Cornelius’ house. Inside the house, Peter found a large group of people there. Have you ever been to a large house party?
