The others did not see anyone (Acts 9:7)

“The men who were traveling

With Saul

Stood speechless.

They heard

The voice

But saw no one.”

οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες οἱ συνοδεύοντες αὐτῷ εἱστήκεισαν ἐνεοί, ἀκούοντες μὲν τῆς φωνῆς, μηδένα δὲ θεωροῦντες.

The author of Acts indicated that the men (οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες) who were traveling with Saul (οἱ συνοδεύοντες αὐτῷ) stood speechless (εἱστήκεισαν ἐνεοί).  They heard (ἀκούοντες) the voice (μὲν τῆς φωνῆς) but saw no one (μηδένα δὲ θεωροῦντες).  Acts, chapter 22:9, is slightly contradictory.  Saul said that those who were with him (οἱ δὲ σὺν ἐμοὶ ὄντες) saw (ἐθεάσαντο) the light (τὸ μὲν φῶς), but did not hear (οὐκ ἤκουσαν) the voice of the one speaking to him (τοῦ λαλοῦντός μοι).  It is not clear whether they heard nothing or could not make out what the voice was saying.  They did not see anybody, except this light.  What they heard was nothing, a muffled voice, or a distinct voice of Jesus.
