The conference (Acts 4:15)

“Thus,

They commanded them

To leave the council,

While they discussed

The matter

With one another.”

κελεύσαντες δὲ αὐτοὺς ἔξω τοῦ συνεδρίου ἀπελθεῖν, συνέβαλλον πρὸς ἀλλήλους

The author of Acts indicated that these high priests commanded or directed Peter and John (κελεύσαντες δὲ αὐτοὺς) to leave the council (ἔξω τοῦ συνεδρίου ἀπελθεῖν), while they discussed (συνέβαλλον) the matter with one another (πρὸς ἀλλήλους).  These religious leaders told Peter and John to leave, while they had a discussion about them.  This council was the supreme judicial body in Jerusalem, the Sanhedrin.  They wanted to confer among themselves about what to do with them.  Have you ever been told to leave while they had a discussion about you?
