The time of universal restoration (Acts 3:21)

“Jesus must remain

In heaven

Until the time

Of universal restoration

That God announced

Through his holy prophets.”

The author of Acts indicated that Peter said that Jesus must remain welcomed (μὲν δέξασθαι) in heaven (ὃν δεῖ οὐρανὸν) until the time (ἄχρι χρόνων) of universal (πάντων) restoration (ἀποκαταστάσεως) that God (ὁ Θεὸς) announced or spoke about (ὧν ἐλάλησεν) through the mouths (διὰ στόματος) of his holy prophets (ἀπ’ αἰῶνος αὐτοῦ προφητῶν).  Acts is the only Greek biblical writing that used this word ἀποκαταστάσεως, that means restoration, restitution, or reestablishment.  Peter said that Jesus would remain in heaven until the restoration of all things that God spoke about through his holy prophets.  According to God’s plan, Jesus would remain in heaven until the final judgement day.  Are you expecting the judgment day soon?
