Asking for alms (Acts 3:3)

“When the lame man saw

Peter

And John

About to go

Into the Temple,

He asked for alms.”

ὃς ἰδὼν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάνην μέλλοντας εἰσιέναι εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἠρώτα ἐλεημοσύνην λαβεῖν.

The author of Acts indicated that when this lame man saw (ὃς ἰδὼν) Peter (Πέτρον) and John (καὶ Ἰωάνην) about to go (μέλλοντας εἰσιέναι) into the Temple (εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν), he asked for alms (ἠρώτα ἐλεημοσύνην λαβεῖν).  Simple enough, this lame man asked Peter and John for some money as they were going into the Temple.  Has any handicapped person ever stopped you to ask for money?
