The disciple who wrote this (Jn 21:24-21:24)

“This is the disciple

Who is testifying

To these things.

He has written them.

We know

That his testimony

Is true.”

John uniquely indicated he is this disciple (Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ μαθητὴς) who was testifying (ὁ μαρτυρῶν) to these things (περὶ τούτων).  He has written them (καὶ ὁ γράψας ταῦτα).  We know (οἴδαμεν) that his testimony (αὐτοῦ ἡ μαρτυρία ἐστίν) is true (ἀληθὴς).  There was an attempt to indicate who the author of this gospel was.  This beloved disciple was the one testifying and writing down this true testimony.  Is this the disciple himself, or one of the disciples of the disciple whom Jesus loved talking about this?  What do you think about this disciple that Jesus loved?
