The world will not see me (Jn 14:19-14:19)

“In a little while,

The world

Will no longer

See me.

But you will

See me.

Because I live,

You also will live.”

John uniquely indicated that Jesus said that in a little while (ἔτι μικρὸν), the world (ὁ κόσμος) would no longer see him (με οὐκέτι θεωρεῖ).  However, they would see him (ὑμεῖς δὲ θεωρεῖτέ με) because he would live (ὅτι ἐγὼ ζῶ) and they would live (καὶ ὑμεῖς ζήσετε).  Jesus announced that in a little bit, the world would not see him anymore, but they, his disciples, would be able to see him because they would both live on.  Exactly how they live on is not clear.  The implication is that Jesus and his disciples would live on in an eternal spiritual life.  Do you have a spiritual life?
