I do not seek my own glory (Jn 8:50-8:50)

“Yet I do not seek

My own glory.

There is one

Who seeks it.

He will be

The judge.”

ἐγὼ δὲ οὐ ζητῶ τὴν δόξαν μου· ἔστιν ὁ ζητῶν καὶ κρίνων.

John uniquely indicated that Jesus said that he did not seek (ἐγὼ δὲ οὐ ζητῶ) his own glory (τὴν δόξαν μου).  There was one who seeks glory (ἔστιν ὁ ζητῶν), who would be the judge (καὶ κρίνων).  Jesus was not there to seek his own personal glory.  His Father, the one who seeks glory would be the judge of who was right and wrong on this issue.  Jesus was clear.  He was there to glorify God, the Father.  Do you seek your own personal glory?
