The Father is the gatekeeper (Jn 6:44-6:44)

“No one

Can come

To me

Unless drawn

By the Father

Who sent me.

I will raise

That person up

On the last day.”

John uniquely indicated that Jesus said that no one could come (οὐδεὶς δύναται ἐλθεῖν) to him (πρός με), unless (με ἐὰν μὴ) they were drawn or chosen (ἑλκύσῃ αὐτόν) by the Father (ὁ Πατὴρ) who had sent Jesus (ὁ πέμψας με).  Jesus was going to raise up that person up (κἀγὼ ἀναστήσω αὐτὸν) on the last day, the eschaton, the end times (ἐν τῇ ἐσχάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ).  In other words, the Father had already chosen or drawn them out.  Then Jesus would raise them up on the last day of final judgment.  Are you expecting the end times soon?
