This bread always!’”
εἶπον οὖν πρὸς αὐτόν Κύριε, πάντοτε δὸς ἡμῖν τὸν ἄρτον τοῦτον.
Although this dialogue was not in the other canonical synoptic gospels, John uniquely indicated that these representatives of the Jewish crowd said to Jesus (εἶπον οὖν πρὸς αὐτόν), calling him the Lord (Κύριε), that they wanted him to give them (δὸς ἡμῖν) this bread (τὸν ἄρτον τοῦτον) all the time (πάντοτε). Suddenly, they wanted this heavenly bread always. Do you always want heavenly bread?
