“None of the seven brothers
Left any children.
Last of all,
The woman herself died.”
This story about the death of the woman who had married 7 brothers can be found in Matthew, chapter 22:26-27, and in Luke, chapter 20:31-32, but there was no explicit mention of them being childless as in Matthew. Mark said that none of the 7 brothers had any children or offspring (καὶ οἱ ἑπτὰ οὐκ ἀφῆκαν σπέρμα). Finally, last of all, this woman widow herself died This was a nice simple but very improbable story.
