They ask Jesus to leave (Mk 5:17-5:17)

“Then they began

To beg Jesus

To leave

Their neighborhood.”

 

καὶ ἤρξαντο παρακαλεῖν αὐτὸν ἀπελθεῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν

 

All three synoptic gospels, Matthew chapter 8:34, and Luke, chapter 8:37 and Mark here said that the people in this east bank area begged Jesus to leave their neighborhood, with slight nuances in each story.  Mark said that the people began to implore or beg Jesus (καὶ ἤρξαντο παρακαλεῖν αὐτὸν) to leave their neighborhood, region, or area (ἀπελθεῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν).  Not in my neighborhood, as economics were more important than any miraculous events.
