Job was not greedy (Job 31:24-31:25)

“If I have made gold my trust,

If I have called fine gold my confidence,

If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great

Due to the fact that my hand had gotten much.”

Job did not place his trust and confidence in gold. He did not rejoice because he was wealthy. He accepted that God had given him much. He placed his trust in God and not gold. There is just an “l” difference in English between the 2 words, gold and god. Some people get confused between what they trust in. After all, the USA dollar bill does say, “in God we trust,” not “in gold we trust.”
