The messenger tells Micaiah what to say (2 Chr 18:12-18:13)

“The messenger, who had gone to summon Micaiah, said to him. ‘Look, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.’ But Micaiah said. ‘As Yahweh lives, whatever my God says, that I will speak.’”

Once again, this is word for word from 1 Kings, chapter 22. The messenger told Micaiah that all the prophets were in agreement in speaking favorably toward the king about the impending battle. He told Micaiah that he should do the same. However, Micaiah was not going to commit before he arrived. He would speak whatever Yahweh asked him to say. There would be no prior arrangement.
