The Arameans surround Elisha (2 Kings 6:14-6:17)

“The Arameans came by night, and surrounded the city. When an attendant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. His servant said. ‘Alas, master! What shall we do?’ Elisha said. ‘Do not be afraid for there are more with us than there are with them.’ Then Elisha prayed. ‘O Yahweh, please open his eyes that he may see.’ So Yahweh opened the eyes of the servant and he saw. The mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

The Arameans came by night and surrounded Dothan. When one of Elisha’s servants woke up in the morning, he saw the army with the horses and the chariots all around the city. He asked Elisha what they should do. Elisha told him not to be afraid. In the mountains around were chariots of fire, as if Elijah had returned to help him.
