“The messenger, who had gone to summon Micaiah, said to him. ‘Look, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.’ But Micaiah said. ‘As Yahweh lives, whatever Yahweh says to me, that I will speak.’”
The messenger told Micaiah that all the prophets were in agreement in speaking favorably toward the king. He told Micaiah that he should do the same. However, Micaiah was not going to commit before he arrived. He would speak whatever Yahweh asks him to speak. There would be no prior arrangement.
